Where Regenerative Theory Becomes Measurable Reality

Our property is our proof. Everything we teach, we practise. Everything Better Biology sells, we make here and put in our own ground first.

The Regenerative Training Centre sits on 60 acres at Woodford, about 90 minutes north of Brisbane. It started life as a school camp. Today it's a working demonstration farm, where every system you see is doing real work, not sitting there for show.

What's on the Property

  • Our market garden runs 50+ crops without synthetic inputs. Soil biology is tested quarterly and biological amendments are documented each season. Results are available on request.

  • The aquaponics system is a closed-loop fish and vegetable production system. Nutrient cycling happens in real time and you can see it working. Students and visitors interact with it directly.

  • We run a large-scale worm farm producing the worm castings that form the biological base for Better Biology dry blends and liquid extracts. Next to it sits our in-vessel composter, processing organic waste from a local café and closing the loop between food waste and fertility.

  • Our Johnson-Su bioreactor produces slow, fungal-dominated compost on site. This material is used exclusively as the base for brewing our liquid extracts. It is not sold as a retail product.

  • We produce biochar on site in our own kiln. It's charged with biology and incorporated into the Better Biology dry blends.

  • The ribbon mixer is where the dry blends are made to order. You can see it running during workshops and open farm days.

  • Our compost extract brewing system produces the liquid extracts, brewed fresh from Johnson-Su compost and worm castings in small batches to order.

  • The timed-grazing sheep paddocks demonstrate soil carbon improvement and plant diversity under managed rotational pressure. Ground cover is measured each cycle.

  • The 30-acre conservation reserve is native vegetation with walking tracks. It's our biodiversity and soil health reference site, showing what this country looks like with no inputs at all.

  • Wicking beds demonstrate water-efficient growing systems that are practical for home gardens and small-scale production.

Better Biology

Better Biology is our soil products and consultancy business. Where the RTC runs programs and events, Better Biology makes and sells biological soil amendments and provides soil health consultancy to farmers across SE Queensland.

We produce dry blends in the ribbon mixer from compost, worm castings, minerals and biological inoculants. We brew liquid extracts fresh from Johnson-Su compost and worm castings. All products are made to order, not pre-manufactured and warehoused. Biological content in liquid extracts is verified by microscopy before delivery.

We also offer farm-based soil consultancy integrating the Haney soil biology test and the RAPK/EAL mineral chemistry test, producing a written soil prescription for your property.

The Regenerative Training Centre acknowledges the Jinibara people as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
